Evening Programme

All conference participants and accompanying persons are warmly invited to take part in the evening events. You can register for these by completing the appropriate part of the registration form. Please note that advance registration is needed even if the event is included in the registration fee.

Opening reception
on Sunday 7 September at 17.00-19.00

The Opening reception will take place at the conference venue, Hotel Crowne Plaza Helsinki. This in an informal meeting where of old friends and colleagues can meet and make new friends. A light buffet will be served.

Conference dinner
on Monday 8 September at 20.00-00.30

Bus transportation from Hotel Crowne Plaza Helsinki to the harbour at 19.15. The boat departs at 19.30.

We invite you to join us for the Conference Dinner on the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress. We start the evening with a short paddle boat trip. The historical surroundings of the imposing sea fortress provide a festive, historical setting to our Conference Dinner. A delicious four-course menu with wine and drinks will be served, accompanied by music performed by Emilia Nyman & Trio. The programme will consist of jazz standards, good oldies and some well known musical numbers.

Return transportation from Suomenlinna Sea Fortress by boat at 23.00, 23.45 and 00.30 and from the harbour by bus to the hotel at 00.15 and 01.00.

Suomenlinna Sea Fortress is included in UNESCO's list of World Heritage sites.

What to wear?

Generally dress is informal and casual wear is acceptable during the conference sessions. For the conference dinner it is recommended that gentlemen wear a dark suite and ladies wear business or dinner dress.
